President Yameen congratulates new Saudi Crown Prince

President Abdulla Yameen has conveyed congratulations to His Royal Highness, Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, on his appointment as the new Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
In his message, President Yameen ‘expressed confidence that Saudi Arabia will reach greater heights in bringing further progress and prosperity to the nation and its people, in reinforcing its stronghold as a global investment powerhouse, in stabilizing and unifying the Muslim Ummah, and its role as the most important facilitator of regional and global peace’.
His message also highlighted the close relations between the two nations and thanked Saudi Arabia for the continued support on behalf of the nation and citizens.
President Yameen also ‘emphasized his hope that the existing development partnership between the Maldives and Saudi Arabia will go from strength to strength in the years ahead for the mutual benefit of the two countries’.
President Yameen and his administration has given the utmost importance to the diplomatic relations with Saudi Arabia. After Saudi Arabia and other Arabian nations severed ties with the State of Qatar and the Islamic Republic of Iran, Maldives was quick to follow the Saudi example.
