Ceremony held to launch Ooredoo IPO
Ooredoo Maldives has sold shares worth MVR 421 million.
A statement released by the company says that the company sold 14 million shares to 8,219 applicants. They were able to generate MVR 421.35 million. This amounts to 9.5 percent of the authorized shares.
Ooredoo went public on April 13th.
The company said the list had been forwarded to Maldives Securities Depository and had requested for a deposit before the 13th of July.
Once the shares have been deposited, the shares will be available to trade on Maldives Stock Exchange in a period of three days.
Ooredoo says they were working closely with Maldives Stock Exchange and Maldives Securities Depository for this process.
