The Raa Ungoofaaru Regional Hospital Governing Board has been constituted.
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih constituted the Ungoofaaru Regional Hospital Governing Board on Thursday.
Seven members were appointed to the board, following its constitution.
As such, Mohamed Saamiu was appointed the Regional Financial Sector Representative, Dr. Hawwa Inaya Abdul Raheem was appointed Independent Health Sector Expert, and Fathimath Nasheeda Mohamed was appointed a Representative of the Ministry of Health.
Further, Moosa Umar Manik was appointed the Atoll Council Member and Ali Ibrahim, a Public Representative.
A Public Health Representative of the Region was also appointed to the board.
Adam Mahir was appointed Hospital-In-Charge while Mohamed Saamiu is to be the chairperson of the hospital’s governing board.
The president also decided to hand over the management of 14 government health facilities in Raa Atoll to Ungoofaaru Regional Hospital, effective Thursday.
