Maziya Sports and Recreation Club has secured a spot in the semifinals of the ongoing FA Cup.
Maziya beat United Victory 3 – 1 in Friday’s game.
The winning team took the lead 16 minutes into the first half of the game, with a goal by Akram Abdul Ghani.
United Victory followed closely and tied the score with a goal by Ahmed Bassam Mohamed Naeem.
Maziya extended its lead with a second score, by Naaiz Hassan.
The team’s third goal was scored in the 82nd minute by Hamza Mohamed.
Maziya will go up against TC Sports Club or Club Green Streets in the semifinals on Saturday evening.
The team is the two-time defending champions of the tournament, having claimed the trophy in the last three seasons consecutively.
