HDC signs CCTV agreement for Hulhumalé with police
Maldives Police Service will install 25 CCTV cameras across the island

The Housing Development Corporation has signed a contract with the Maldives Police Service to install public surveillance cameras in Hulhumalé, the capital city’s fast-growing urban extension.

Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Areef, and the corporation’s Managing Director Mohamed Saiman had signed the agreement at an event held at the police headquarters on Thursday.

The agreement stipulates that the Maldives Police Service will install 25 CCTV cameras across the island.

The police are also charged with maintaining, servicing, and conducting the relevant software work for said cameras. The footage will be monitored and stored at a police data center in Hulhumalé.
