President Nasheed in Colombo
Former President Mohamed Nasheed has attended a tharaaveeh for opposition Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) members living in Sri Lanka.
The tharaaveeh was held in Lanka’s 1010 café, to mark the release of Galolhu South Parliamentarian Ahmed Mahloof and was attended many living in the country.
The former President was greeted enthusiastically by the participants. Hundreds of photographs of the meeting is currently circulating on social media platforms.
Nasheed, currently living in exile in the UK, have visited Colombo, Sri Lanka occasionally of late.
