The United Nation’s Working Group on Arbitrary Detention (UNWGAD) has called on the Government of Maldives to immediately release Galolhu South Constituency Member of Parliament Ahmed Mahloof.

The case was submitted to the Group in August 2016.

In addition to his release, the Group had also called on the Government to pay damages he had incurred during his stay in prison.
