MTCC installs blocks for quay wall construction of Lh. Hinnavaru harbor

Lh. Hinnavaru harbor development project
The blocks for quay wall construction in the harbor development project of Hinnavaru island of Lhaviyani atoll, have been installed.
Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) revealed that they have completed the installation of blocks for the quay wall in the construction project.
The company revealed that they are currently carrying out the concrete work for the quay wall, which is at 57 percent progress.
Under the scope of the project, MTCC is required to reclaim 3.2 hectares of land and conduct dredging operations in an area of 65,170.76 cubic meters.
Further, the company is contracted to construct a quay wall measuring 421 meters and breakwater measuring 123.9 meters.
The contract also mandates MTCC to build a 170.55-meter revetment.
The project was contracted to MTCC by the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure on 10 November 2020.
The project was mobilized on 13 March 2021 and is valued at MVR 99.52 million.
It was contracted to be completed within 350 days.
