Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) has stated that they have finished clearing all the perishables imported for Ramadan.

MPL CEO Abdu Razzaq Haleem stated that all the perishables imported for the month had been cleared and therefore there was no reason for the high prices.

Previously, in a press conference held on May 26, Haleem said that MPL had put into place special procedures for the month of Ramadan.

Haleem assured that the company will lend all assistance to reduce the prices in the market.
