There has been a power outage at the Velanaa International Airport in Kaafu atoll on Saturday.

According to RaajjeMV's source at the airport, the power had been restored to most of the airport by 9:30, thirty minutes after the outage.

However, the Domestic Terminal did not have electricity even at 10:00 am.

The power outage had disrupted flight schedules and kept arrivals grounded at the Domestic Terminal.

RaajjeMV has been unable to acquire a comment from the airport’s management at the time of press, and the reason for the outage is yet unclear.
