New High Commissioner of Maldives to Pakistan Mohamed Thoha has presented his credentials.
The Maldives’ high commissioner presented his Letter of Credence to President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari during a ceremony held at the Aiwan-e-Sadr (Presidency) in Islamabad.
Offering greetings and well wishes from President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and the people of Maldives to the people and President of Pakistan, the high commissioner of Maldives expressed commitment to enhance the long-standing brotherly ties between the two countries.
Thoha went on to express gratitude to the Pakistani leader for accommodating the presentation of credentials so swiftly.
The Pakistani president congratulated Thoha on his appointment and assured him that the Pakistani government will extend full support to fulfil his responsibilities and duties in his capacity as the High Commissioner of Maldives in Pakistan.
The meeting was joined by Second Secretaries Aishath Yasmeen and Ismail Mufeed as well as Defence Advisor to Pakistan Colonel Idrees Badeeu of the High Commission of Maldives in Pakistan.
