The government of Pakistan has gifted computer systems and laptops to the government of Maldives.

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs on Thursday held the ceremony to handover the systems gifted by the government of Pakistan.

The ceremony saw High Commissioner of Pakistan to Maldives, Vice Admiral (Retired) Muhammad Fayyaz Gilani handing over the systems.

The systems were received by the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed.

According to the ministry, 10 computer systems and seven laptops were handed over on behalf of the High Commission of Pakistan in Maldives.

The High Commissioner of Pakistan spoke at the ceremony and shed light on the longstanding close ties of friendship between the two countries.

He went on to express commitment from the government of Pakistan, in the efforts to provide the required assistance and support to the government of Maldives.

The ceremony also saw the High Commissioner of Pakistan assuring that he remains committed to enhance efforts to enhance religious ties between Maldives and Pakistan.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Shaheem expressed gratitude to the donation and the continuous assistance the government of Pakistan has provided to the Maldivian government over the years.
