Ahmed Zuhoor has been sacked as the Chairman of the Housing Development Corporation (HDC).
The Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) has confirmed that Zuhoor was terminated from his position as HDC’s Chairman, and removed from the company’s Board of Directors.
A reason for his termination has not been disclosed by PCB.

Zuhoor was appointed as the chairman of HDC on 20 February 2024.
He filled several positions during the presidential term of Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom including ministerial positions, Commissioner General of Customs as well as Managing Director of State Electric Company (STELCO).
Zuhoor has been let go at a time PCB earlier announced the termination of MIFCO’s CEO Ahmed Samah Rasheed and Managing Director of Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) Fathimath Thaufeeq.
