The President of Sri Lanka, Ranil Wickremesinghe has met with the outgoing President of the Maldives, Ibrahim Mohamed Solih
The meeting took place at the President's Office, on Thursday evening.
The President's Office disclosed that the meeting saw President Solih and President Wickremesinghe speaking extensively about the current state of affairs in Sri Lanka and how the nation is gradually emerging from the recent recession.
Additionally, discussions were also held on the government of Sri Lanka's present and future goals to expand the country's economy.
Furthermore, President Solih expressed gratitude to his Sri Lankan counterpart for collaborating to solidify their bilateral ties further, which included concluding several bilateral agreements under his administration.
The President of Sri Lanka also conveyed appreciation for the aid and support provided by the Maldives during a time of need. They concluded the call by extending their best wishes and prosperity to the Maldives and Sri Lanka.
