Outgoing President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih will be attending the inauguration ceremony of the President-elect Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.

RaajjeMV has been informed that President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has accepted the invitation to the inauguration ceremony of the eighth President of the Maldives, Dr. Muizzu. As such, the Communication Director at the People's Majlis, Hassan Ziyaau has also confirmed this to RaajjeMV.

Even though the outgoing President Solih has accepted the invitation to the inauguration ceremony, former President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom will not be attending the ceremony.

The solemn ceremony, which will witness President-Elect Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and Vice President-Elect Hussain Mohamed Latheef assuming their respective offices, is scheduled for this evening.

The proceedings will begin promptly at 16:45 hrs. Following the oath-taking, the newly inaugurated President is expected to deliver his inaugural address at the special assembly of the Parliament, outlining his vision and plans for the term ahead.
