Vice President Faisal Naseem has commenced the project of Fuvahmulah City's Centre for the Holy Quran.

VP Naseem commenced the Quran Centre project during a special ceremony held in Fuvahmulah City, on Saturday afternoon, as part of his two-day visit to the city.

Speaking at the ceremony, VP Naseem highlighted the importance of building generations of productive citizens and requested experts and scholars in different fields to work towards this end.

In his remarks, VP Naseem noted that every single member of society should bear this responsibility.

Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Zahir also attended the ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Zahir highlighted the administration’s commitment to promoting religious education. He stated that the Quran Centre being developed in Fuvahmulah City would be a hub for religious education in the region.

The new Quran Centre building would come with a reception area, a conference room, an auditorium, and a library. It would also include a separate office building and storage space, with the first floor housing four classrooms and a prayer room.
