MP Ahmed Nihan tweet reads as "PPMMDA Coalition's 48 members voted with strong conviction, voted to keep Parliament Speaker in, maintaining faith with the Speaker".

The no confidence motion on Speaker had failed, as all opposition Members had either walked out or escorted out of the Chambers. The remaining 48 Members of PPMMDA coalition had voted in favor of the Speaker
