Bank of Maldives has opened a self-service banking ATM center in Ukulhas island of Alif Alif atoll.
In an effort to support the island community and the national bank’s ongoing efforts to expand its services in outlying atolls in support of island communities, BML opened the center in Ukulhas island on Thursday.
With this addition, the bank currently has ATM centers in three islands of Alif Alif atoll as well as a branch in Rasdhoo island.
These centers will support individuals and businesses in depositing and transferring money on a round-the-clock basis, in addition to the general cash withdrawal service. The center houses a state-of-the-art multi-functional ATM and the bank has been continually investing in efforts to support local communities, BML revealed in a statement.
BML recently opened self-service banking ATM centres in Kendhikulhudhoo island of Noonu atoll, Thimarafushi island in Thaa atoll as well as Thoddoo island in Alif Alif atoll.
The national bank stated that these investments are an “integral part” on their ongoing investment program to support local communities by providing banking services, nationwide.
These investments will “benefit the people and businesses of this island to bank conveniently without having to travel to nearby branches” said BML. It also provides the additional benefit for customers in neighboring islands.
BML remains committed to support individuals, businesses and communities across the nation, with a nationwide network of 38 branches across all 20 atolls, 62 self-service banking centers, 125 ATMs, over 200 agents and a full suite of digital banking services.
