Maldives reports 37th death from Covid-19
Deceased is an 80-year-old Maldivian man

Another Maldivian has succumbed to the Covid-19 virus.
The Health Protection Agency (HPA) reported the death as the 37th death to the global pandemic on Sunday evening.
Deceased is an 80-year-old Maldivian man who was admitted at the Hulhumalé Medical Facility (HMF) for treatment. The local man passed away at around 3:50pm on Sunday.
While this is the 37th victim to the fatal pandemic, it is the second death to have been reported in the last two days. A 67-year-old Maldivian man passed away due to complications on Saturday morning as well.
During Saturday night's press briefing, the Health Emergency Operations Center (HEOC) revealed that three patients were receiving treatment for Covid-19 in the Intensive Care Unit and that 43 patients were hospitalized for treatment.
Over the course of the past few days Maldives has been reporting lower numbers in daily cases, however, the public health authorities continue to stress on the importance of strictly adhering to the safety and precautionary measures, as Maldives is far from controlling the virus, yet.
