Maldivian has scheduled three weekly direct flights to Dhaka, Bangladesh.
The country’s national airline took to Twitter to make the reveal, highlighting that this change is in effect from October 1.
The three weekly flights will be operated every Sunday, Tuesday and Friday.
One-way ticket fares start at USD 433 and every passenger is allowed to carry weighing no more than 30kg.
Individuals are required to contact any of the airline’s offices for bookings and inquiries.
Maldivian began operating direct flights to Dhaka during September. Back then, Maldivian operated two weekly flights to Dhaka on Tuesdays and Fridays.
As per protocol, passengers traveling to and from Dhaka are required to have a Covid-19 negative test certificate done within 72 hours prior to flight departure from an approved health center as well as present it during check-in, said Maldivian.
Further, passengers are required toregister24 hours prior to departure.
Although flights to a number of destinations have been halted due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Maldivian has been holding numerous repatriation flights to and from Maldives. As such, 26 repatriation flights have been operated thus far to carry expatriate workers stranded in the island nation.
