The individuals drowned while working on a boat in Hulhumalé lagoon
An individual has drowned off Hulhumalé, capital Malé City’s suburban extension.
Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that the 27-year-old Maldivian man drowned while out working on a boat in Hulhumalé lagoon, while he was in the water.
Police received reports of the man being transferred to Hulhumalé Hospital after suffering from muscle cramps while in the water.
The authority has since confirmed the death.
Further investigations have been launched into the 27-year-old’s death.
