Local telecommunications provider Ooredoo Maldives in to issue five gigabytes of bonus data for their SuperNet customers, daily.
This was announced via a press release on Tuesday, where the telecom provider stated that this was done in order to further ease access to quality internet services during the crisis of the Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
As such, Ooredoo Maldives revealed that their SuperNet customers will be receiving five gigabytes of free data on a daily basis once their package allowance runs out.
This offer is on top of the 25% bonus introduced earlier for all postpaid customers.
The offer is valid from 1 April onwards, said the telecom provider.
Ooredoo Maldives is working alongside the government in their efforts to provide ease for the citizens during these trying times. As such, they have provided free internet service to the National Emergency Operation Center (NEOC) as well as those under quarantine and even introduced special plans for customers who face financial restrictions due to the repercussions of the pandemic.
