Tourism minister says leaked audio clips "fake"

Tourism Minister Ali Waheed has said that the leaked audio clips of an alleged conversation between him and a state minister at the youth ministry are “fake.”
The clips were leaked by twitter use “LeaksMV” and the first one is of a conversation that it is to have taken between Waheed and Assadh Ali this past Thursday. LeaksMV claims to have obtained the audios from “a whistleblower.”
In the audio, the voice claimed to be Waheed is heard criticizing Health Minister Abdulla Ameen. This person talks about how he, the tourism minister, had done all in the work to curb a coronavirus outbreak in the country, and is heard making offensive comments about the health minister.
Noting that the audio clips “are a hoax,” Minister Waheed tweeted this is being done to defame him but that his will and strength will not waver.
LeaksMV has also leaked other alleged audios clips of the tourism minister, including of him talking about Education Minister Aishath Ali and Transport Minister Aishath Nahula.
Ameen, Aishath and Nahula are yet to comment on this.
