Three individuals have been treated for injuries after a road accident in capital city Malé’s suburban district Hulhumalé.
Maldives Police Service (MPS) received the report of the accident close to 2pm on Thursday and it occurred when two motorcycles collided.
Both motorcycles were being operated by 25-year-old men who did not have licenses on them, said police.
One of them was stopped by traffic officers on a previous occasion after a traffic violation. His license was withheld after the incident.
All three involved in the accident attained several injuries and were treated at Tree Top Hospital.
The case is under further investigations.
