Inter-Resort Volleyball: Bandos team secures trophy
The team won the finals beating Reethirah 3 - 1 sets
Bandos & Reethirah went head-to-head in the finals
Previous champion-title holder Bandos Island Resort has secured the trophy in the Zone Championship League of the Inter Resort Volleyball Tournament
Bandos won the finals after beating One & Only Reethirah Resort by leading 3 – 1 sets.
Although both teams had shown a weak performance due to the turbulent weather, it was an otherwise intense match.
Bandos won three sets, 19 – 25, 28 – 30 and 20 – 25 while Reethirah led one set 25 – 19.
Reethirah took the lead in the first set, however, Bandos players won the set in the end, with the team’s player Ismail Saajid having directed several excellent attacks which Reethirah players were challenged by.
The second set saw an intense play, with both teams showing exemplary efforts.
Bandos team won the last two sets with little to no effort at all.
Best players of the match was awarded to “Kuda Kaattey”, Ahusan, Batis and Razan from Bandos as well as Reethirah players, Nabeel, Adam and Ibrahim.
Best Coach was awarded to Bandos coach and coach of the Men’s National Volleyball Team, Mohamed Saajid.
This is the second consecutive title Bandos has secures in the tournament.
