Maumoon Foundation has announced that they will be holding their annual Ihya programme this Ramadan.

Former President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom is a regular speaker at the Ihya programme, which is held every Ramadan and focuses on raising awareness on religion.

The Foundation was unable to hold the programme last year, as Maumoon had been in prison at the time, and only one Ihya program event was held in 2017 since Maumoon had to take an extended leave abroad.

This year’s events will be held at the Islamic Center at 10pm every Tuesday night, which is on the 14th, 21st, and 28th of May. The Foundation confirmed that Maumoon will be speaking at the events.

Maumoon began the Ihya programme during his rule.

The Maumoon Foundation is an apolitical and not-for-profit charitable institution set up by the former president in 2010.
