The Calorie Counter to be shut down
The last day the restaurant will be serving its customers is Sunday

Local restaurant, The Calorie Counter outlet in capital city Malé is to be shut down.

Owner Mohamed Infaz Faiz revealed that the decision to cease its services in Malé is followed by low customer turnout and less praise which in turn impacted the restaurant’s business survival negatively.

“As a business we haven’t received the response we anticipated” a statement by the local restaurant reads.

The last day the restaurant will be serving its customers is Sunday.

The Calorie Counter was opened with the vision to serve healthy food choices to consumers. As such, the restaurant served pre-exercise meals with a balanced calorie count and other healthy food items such as chicken wraps and detoxification drinks.

The franchise which was opened in Malé in March 2018, currently has outlets in Kuwait and neighboring Sri Lanka as well.
