High Court receives seven complaints regarding elections
All seven have to do with voters names not being included in the registry
Complaint submissions to be accepted till 10 April

Maldives High Court has revealed that seven complaints have been submitted in regards to the general elections.

Court on Wednesday revealed that they had received seven complaints, all to do with eligible voters names not being included in the voters registry.

The court is yet to scheduled trials to commence in regards to all seven cases.

Complaint submissions will be accepted until 2pm on 10 April, the Elections Commission earlier revealed, going on to state that complaint forms will be available through the commission, city council premises as well as atoll and city complains bureaus.

The jurisdiction on complaints regarding elections falls on the High Court of Maldives. Candidates, political parties, observers or monitors and those actively involved in electoral procedures may file complaints at the court.

The parliamentary election is less than a week away, scheduled for 6 April.
