Ghaazee School has held a cleanup initiative in the beach area in Hulhumale, the fast-growing suburban extension of capital city Malé.

School Principal Mariyam Mohamed revealed that the initiative focused on giving their students an experience of the lessons being taught to them in school as well as to teach them to socially honor the society.

The Principal also revealed that she hopes the good message behind the initiative will be delivered to the public coming for a swim in the area.

Alongside students from foundation level to key stage two, about 39 students with special needs also participated in the cleanup initiative.

She also revealed that they got immense support from guardians of the students throughout the entire program.

The school is expecting to hold more initiatives like this in the near future.
