Upon the Supreme Court’s scheduling of its verdict hearing in the case filed by President Abdulla Yameen, to annul September's presidential election, for Sunday, people have begun queueing up, five hours prior to its commencement.
The hearing is set for 01pm, Sunday.
While many locals have queued up outside the court premises, the courthouse accommodates up to 25 observers, excluding 10 journalists.
The last hearing in the trial was held on the 16th of October, where the bench of judges decided not to hear the secret witnesses submitted by Yameen's legal team, and had instead heard the closing statements from all sides.
Yameen lost his bid for reelection after receiving just 96,052 votes while his opponent, Ibrahim Mohamed Solih received 134,705 votes.
