Former minister Umar Zahir’s wife has passed away.
Moomina Ibrahim died at Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital at the age of 84 on Saturday evening.
She died after being admitted at the hospital on Saturday morning, but the details of her illness have not been disclosed.
She has one daughter, two grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Umar Zahir is long-serving statesman who has received the most distinguished national award, The Order of Izzuddeen.
He was last seen working with the opposition coalition’s presidential campaign on behalf of former President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom.
