President Yameen is seeking annulment of the electoral results on the grounds that the Elections Commission conspired to rig its outcome

Parties in the Joint Opposition has proposed to testify in President Abdulla Yameen’s case at the Supreme Court, seeking annulment of the electoral results.

RaajjeMV understands that six lawyers are to represent the parties in the coalition; including Hisaan Hussein – a campaign agent for president-elect Ibrahim Solih.

Other lawyers are Ibrahim Riffath, Safa Shareef, Noor Salaam Abu Bakr, Mohamed Nadheem, and Masthoor Husni. All of them have been accepted by the Supreme Court to speak on the case.

Hisaan said that they will be speaking at the hearing to be held on Sunday. The last hearing in the case was held on Thursday.

President Yameen is seeking annulment of the electoral results on the grounds that the Elections Commission conspired to rig its outcome. The apex court has asked the commission to answer to the allegations.
