A window of opportunity has been opened for interested individuals to apply for housing units in Haa Alif atoll's Dhidhdhoo island.
According to an announcement released by the Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure, the opportunity for Dhidhdhoo residents to apply for apartments in the 100 newly constructed housing units has been opened untill the 11th of September and requested all qualified individuals to submit their applications.
The Ministry announced that applications will be accepted by the Ministry as well as Dhidhdhoo island’s Regional Office.
While 250 housing units have been built in the island, 140 out of them had been leased previously upon receiving a down payment of MVR 19,000. The leased units require a compensation of MVR 2,500 per month for a period of 20 years.
The housing units of Dhidhdhoo have three-room apartments with three bathrooms, a living room and a kitchen in each apartment.
