Former Commissioner General of Customs, Ibrahim Shareef who was sacked from his post has been appointed as Australia's trade representative.
Up til he was sacked from the post, Shareef served over two years as Commissioner General of Customs. He had previously held the post of Chief Executive Officer at Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) as well.
Before being appointed as MPL's CEO, Shareef held the post of Senior General Manager at State Trading Organization (STO). Shareef had also held the post of Board Chairperson at Allied Insurance as well as Maldive Gas, priorly.
