The construction of 10 classrooms in Haa Alif Baarah School has officially been handed to Water Park Maldives Private Limited.
Senior Policy Executive at the Ministry of Education, Ibrahim Ismail Ali had signed the contract on behalf of the ministry in a ceremony held at the Ministry of Education, where Managing Director of Water Park Maldives, Ahmed Afraah signed on behalf of the company.
The ministry said that the contract includes the construction of a hall and a science laboratory, with seven lavatories for students, and two lavatories for teachers.
The ministry further said that the construction project will conclude by the start of the second semester in August 2019 and that the building will be accessible by 2020.
About MVR 14.4 million is estimated to be spent for this project.
While 325 students are currently enrolled for education at the Baarah School, the school conducts lectures for grades 1 - 12.
