MWSC seeking contractors to construct pipelines at bridge distribution points
Contractors can only partake in the bid after acquiring a bid memo which will be available for MVR 500
Payments for the bid memos can be made at MWSC office between 10:00 am to 01:00 pm from 27th to 30th May

Male’ Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) has made an announcement calling for contractors to construct pipelines and fix fiber optic cables in the distribution points of China-Maldives Friendship Bridge. 

The announcement stated that contractors can only partake in the bid after acquiring a bid memo which will be available for MVR 500. 

Payments for the bid memos can be made at MWSC office between 10:00 am to 01:00 pm from 27th to 30th May. The memos will be issued during working hours on 31st May from the fifth floor of MWSC building. 

While MWSC has organized the pre-bid meeting for 05th June 2018, 11:00 am, bids must be applied at 11:30 on 11th June 2018. The announcement also said that applicants are to pay an amount of 10,000 as bid security. Bank guaranteed cheques or letters will be accepted as bid security. Furthermore, the awardee must pay 10% of the total bid amount as performance guarantee within 14 days of receiving the contract.

MWSC has assured that the bridge being constructed between Male' and Hulhule' by the Chinese company CCCC Second Habor Engineering Corporation, will be complete by September this year. The project amounts to about USD 1.6 million (around MVR 25 million).
