The fire had evidently sparked in a room on the ground floor and was quelled at around 07:44 p.m
Police media official said that although no injuries have been reported in the fire, the room had been burnt beyond use.

A fire accident was reported in a house in Galolhu ward of capital city Male' on Sunday evening.

According to police media official Ibrahim Azim, the fire in Ahbaasaage in galolhu ward of Male' was reported to Maldives Police Service (MPS) at 07:13 p.m on Sunday evening.

Fire put out, damages being inspected

The fire had evidently sparked in a room on the ground floor and was put out at around 07:44 p.m.

Azim said that the cause for the fire has not been discovered yet.

The Police media official further said that although no injuries have been reported in the fire, the room had been burnt beyond use.
