Regardless of bad weather, Former President Mohamed Nasheed's campaign team in Gaafu Dhaalu (GDh) continues to travel to various islands. He is contesting for the Maldivian Democractic Party's (MDP) ticket to run for Presidential Elections 2018. 

The team campaigned in GDh Gadhdhoo today and plans on traveling to Vaadhoo and Thinadhoo next where a campaign ceremony is organized for tonight. 

RaajjeMV reporters in Gaafu Dhaalu informed that the campaign activities were carried out with full spirit despite the extreme weather conditions in the area. Similarly the team is said to have campaigned actively in other islands in the atoll as well. 

The team lead by campaign manager and Former Housing Minister Mohamed Aslam briefed MDP senior officials on the islands regarding the campaign trail as well as put out campaign posters throughout the atoll while supporters signed endorsement forms.

The team that left for Gaafu Dhaalu on Thursday night kicked off the campaign from GDh Madaveli around 10:00 am and also traveled to Hoadedhdhoo, Nadella, Fiyoari, Rathafandhoo and Faresmaathoda. 

Meanwhile President Nasheed's campaign team lead by Member of Parliament (MP) for Hithadhoo Dhekunu Constituency Ali Nizar, traveling in Baa atoll campaigned in Fulhadhoo today and plans to travel to Fulhadhoo and Goidhoo. The team has previously travelled to Dhonfanu, Eydhafushi and Thulhaadhoo on Friday, as well as Kudarikilu, Dharavandhoo, Maalhoi and Kamadhoo on Thursday.
