Police revealed on Friday that they have apprehended two individuals in their investigation of a robbery in Laamu atoll’s Maabaidhoo island this Monday.
Police said they arrested four of these individuals on Thursday, and two of them on Wednesday.
This includes a 43-year-old, a 32-year-old, and a 43-year-old, who have all been remanded for five days. They also arrested a 24-year-old and a 35-year-old, who are remanded for three days.
A 31-year-old arrested in the matter has been remanded for seven days. All the suspects were remanded by the magistrate court in Laamu atoll.
State-run utilities company Fenaka Corporation's office in Maabaidhoo island was broken into and robbed on Monday night. The suspects are accused of stealing over MVR 100,000.
