Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has refuted reports that it plans to sack several employees.
Speaking to some media outlets, MACL's Managing Director Adil Moosa said that the company has not made any such decisions to dismiss any of its employees, and that reports contrary to this are 'fabricated'.
Instead, he said that they will be looking for even more employees, 'once the new runway is completed'.
However, there have been reports that the company has decided to sack 75 of its employees, and that it has even started sending them termination notices.
