Former President Mohamed Nasheed will be speaking to individual residents of capital city Malé as part of his campaign for his party’s primary elections.
Hithadhoo-North constituency MP Mohamed Aslam, Nasheed’s campaign manager for the primary elections, said that Nasheed has been speaking to residents in outlying atolls as well, through Skype calls.
Aslam said that Nasheed’s representatives in the country will be meeting with individual people as well. The campaign team will begin making calls on Tuesday, he said.
Aslam said this at a pre-Ramadan feast held at the Maldivian Democratic Party’s primary assembly site in capital city Malé. Nasheed had spoken to his supporters that gathered there, through a Skype call as well.
