Member of Parliament for Kendhoo constituency Ali Hussain is to be summoned to court on Sunday.

Hussain is to be summoned to court at 10:00am for a preliminary hearing following allegations of illegally entering the parliament building after breaking police ranks on the 24th of July 2017.

Alonside Hussain, charges were raised against 11 other parliamentarians as well for obstructing a law enforcement officer.

The 12 MPs, if found guilty, may face a jail term of up to four months and 24 days in confinement.
