Vice Chief of Defense Force Brigadier General Ahmed Shahid has departed to Pakistan to partake in the fourth staff talks between Maldives and Pakistan Armed Forces.
General officers of Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) joinlty with Chief of Defense Force Major General Ahmed Shiyam had bid farewell to General Shahid at Velana International Airport.
While these talks aim to enhance military and security ties between Pakistan and Maldives and to further develop Maldives Military, they are to be held on the 10th and 11th of May in the Joint Staff Headquarters (JS HQ) in Islamabad, Pakistan.
The JS HQ is the combatant joint-field operations secretariat and principal headquarters of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee established following the war between India and Pakistan that lasted for 14 days in December of 1971.
Along with General Shahid, Principle Director or MNDF's Directorate of International Defense Corporation and Policy, Colonel Abdul Matheen Ahmed, Principle Director of MNDF's Directorate of Operations and Training, Lieutenant Colonel Ismail Naseer as well as Maldives Defense Advisor to Pakistan, Lieutenant Colonel Ibrahim Haleem will be partaking in the fourth staff talks between Maldives and Pakistan.
