President Yameen's Cabinet
Over two months since a cabinet meeting was held
The last cabinet meeting was held on the 08th of February
While cabinet meetings are no longer being held, the parliament is under military lock down as well

While the military has taken over the parliament and brought its sessions to a halt, it has been over two months since the last meeting with cabinet ministers was held.

According to the information received by RaajjeMV, the last cabinet meeting was held on the 08th of February and since then, meetings with cabinet ministers have been halted.

Spokesperson at the President's office Ibrahim Muizzu had not responded to queries as to why cabinet meetings have been halted.

According to information received by the station, the last cabinet meeting was held during the state of emergency to brief cabinet ministers of the situation in the country.

While it has been 69 days since a cabinet meeting was last held, there are no updates on the official website of the President's office either.

While many days have passed since a discussion was held with the 15 ministers who comprise the president's cabinet, current administration's first Vice President Dr. Mohamed Jameel Ahmed had previously said that incumbent President Yameen Abdul Gayoom is not someone who makes a decision with the help of his cabinet ministers.

According to Dr. Jameel, President Yameen arrives at the office by the time official hours end and he makes significant decisions by himself and not by dicussing with the cabinet.

While cabinet meetings are no longer being held, the parliament, comprised by parliamentarians that the citizens have elected is also under military lockdown and pro-government members of parliament are also allowed access inside after thorough check-ups.
