OIC's secretary general arrives in Maldives

The Secretary General of the Organization for Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Dr. Yousef Al Othaimeen arrived in the Maldives on Tuesday, on an official trip.
Dr. Othaimeen was welcomed at the Velana International Airport by Maldives Foreign Secretary Ahmed Sareer.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Othaimeen is to pay a courtesy call on President Abdulla Yameen and Foreign Minister Dr. Mohamed Asim, as well as senior government officials in his official two-day visit to the Maldives.
The Foreign Ministry also said that Dr. Othaimeen will be addressing faculty and students at the Maldives National University (MNU) during the visit.
Dr. Othaimeen is accompanied by Dr. Hassan Aabideen, Head of Department of Muslim States of the OIC.
