Ex-PG brought to capital for 'urgent' MRI, weeks after being instructed to do so
The former PG was sentenced to 17 years in prison in June 2016
He has since sought medical attention numerous times, and has been admitted at hospital as well
He was instructed to do the MRI on 10th April, according to his wife

Former Prosecutor General, Muhthaz Muhsin was brought to the capital on Tuesday, for an ‘urgent’ Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) that he was instructed to do on the 10th of this month.

Muhthaz’s wife told RaajjeMV that doctors had, on 10th April, instructed him to do an MRI, saying it was urgent. She added that her husband was brought to do the MRI on Tuesday, April 24.

After the MRI, he was taken to Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) at 11am for physiotherapy.

His wife said that he is required to do physiotherapy on a regular basis, as instructed by his doctor on the 28th of February. His wife noted that this was the ‘ninth session he had been taken to’.

Furthermore, she noted that he has been instructed to refrain from making long trips via sea, adding that this ‘is concerning’ as he is required to make daily trips for physiotherapy sessions.

The former prosecutor general was sentenced to 17 years in prison in June 2016, after the court found him guilty of forging warrant to arrest the president.

Back in July 2017, he was admitted at ADK Hospital, to administer a steroid injection for a hip injury. He was admitted there in February 2017 as well.
