Government drafts new policy to tackle anti-Islamic acts
The policy also includes forms of “hate speech” such as mocking Islam and spreading false information regarding the religion
Offenders will be given financial punishments including exclusion from government schemes such as government health insurance Aasandha

Islamic Ministry has drafted a new government policy to tackle anti-Islamic acts.

The main purpose of the policy is to prevent Muslims from leaving Islam or vocally opposing the religion.

The ministry stated that the policy also aims to stop extremists from joining holy wars, committing violence in the name of Islam, and intimidating other Muslims.

The policy also includes forms of “hate speech” such as mocking Islam and spreading false information regarding the religion.

Offenders will be given financial punishments including exclusion from government schemes such as government health insurance Aasandha and loans but not from pensions or basic services, said the ministry.
