The Maldivian government, along with six other countries, has agreed to send representatives to observe Malaysia’s 14th general elections.
The Malaysian Elections Commission on Tuesday announced that it has invited a total of 14 counties to observe the elections. Malaysian officials have since told journalists that seven countries have accepted their invitation.
Countries set to observe the ballots, slated for May 9th, are Maldives, Indonesia, Thailand, Timor Leste, Cambodia, Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan.
About 14.9 million voters have registered for the ballots.
