Reducing market prices will not save President Yameen: Ihavandhoo MP
He said President Yameen is pretending that he wasn’t the one who hiked the prices in the first place
MP Abdulla also said that President Yameen started dismissing the Constitution after the opposition began work to remove him, because he knew that he could be Constitutionally removed
The MP said that President Yameen is a scentless rose with rotten petals and with characteristics that no one finds appealing

Reducing product prices now won’t get President Abdulla Yameen any votes, says Ihavandhoo MP Mohamed Abdulla.

Speaking at the joint opposition ceremony in HA Ihavandhoo on Friday night, the lawmaker said that President Yameen is pretending that he wasn’t the one who hiked the prices in the first place.

“When [his] administration began, rice, sugar, and flour were at MVR 500. Minister Saeed hiked the prices, and President Yameen has now reduced it to its original value out of kindness. Fenaka raised electricity prices, not President Yameen. Now Yameen has reduced it,” mocked the MP.

MP Abdulla also said that President Yameen started dismissing the Constitution after the opposition began work to remove him, because he knew that he could be Constitutionally removed.

The MP also warned that President Yameen’s attempts to jail opposition members will not help him maintain his rule.

Mocking the Economic Minister’s comparison of President Yameen to a rose, the MP said that he is a scentless rose with rotten petals and with characteristics that no one finds appealing.

After the arrest of Chief Justice Abdulla Saeed and Justice Ali Hameed, MP Abdulla said that it was likely that the other three justices will also be jailed soon.
