Jumhoree Party (JP) leader Qasim Ibrahim’s appeal hearing on his prison conviction has been cancelled.
The High Court earlier scheduled the first hearing for 9:30am, Sunday but cancelled at 10am while Qasim’s lawyers were waiting in court.
The opposition leader was sentenced to three years for bribery in August. Six months have passed since he appealed.
Qasim is currently in Germany after fleeing his conviction.
